Afternoon tea at the Blythswood Square Hotel has just got even better, every Friday is Blythswood Bubbles.  What better way to treat yourself to the end of the week than either 3 courses on the Market Menu in Restaurant at Blythswood Square or The Duchess of Bedford Afternoon Tea and Moët & Chandon Champagne for the duration of your meal.

Priced £50 per person this may seem a little steep, but for service, fresh food and cakes as well as for the Champagne or for the 3 course meal option, it was well worth it.

Being a group of foodies, we of course had to try out the various options available (even the healthy tea tox!)

Tea Tox

The Tea Tox was a pleasant surprise.  Really like the hummus and the Detox salad – broccoli, cauliflower, cous cous, golden raisins, sunflower seeds and lemon oil.

Poached salmon, smoked venison and Angus beef.

Not something that I’d be able to do all the time, but for an added bonus of either treat me time, hen night preparations or a birthday treat a serious contender.   Smitten.

  1. Looks nice! Have you ever had afternoon tea at Stewart’s Victorian Tearoom in the Merchant City? If not, don’t! We went there last week, and it was truly horrific. The food was extremely bland, very overpriced, and the waiter one of the rudest (and strangest) men I’ve ever met.

hello, yes we have, didn’t like it hence no review. I agree with the overpriced and we felt we were an annoyance rather than customers :(
